Welcome Diner is a name with history in the Garfield Historic District. Despite its small size, the original seven-seat diner was a landmark destination in downtown Phoenix for decades. The new Welcome Diner has been redesigned and relocated two blocks south of the original, at the intersection of 10th and Pierce Street. The design of the new diner distills the most important aspects of the original space (the neon-lit metal exterior, the comfortably eccentric interior, and the community dining patio) while creating even more room for a thriving neighborhood to spend time together over Welcome’s Southern-inspired cuisine.
